Women’s Day is a month away on 9 August 2024. While I wish we didn’t need to highlight continued gender inequality in society, we do. It’s not something that affects only one group of women, it’s something that affects every woman. And, what affects every woman impacts on every member of society.
Levelling the playing fields doesn’t mean elevating women above men:
- It is about giving equal opportunity and equal pay to women doing the same work as men.
- It’s about women not putting themselves down and feeling unworthy.
- It’s about men not being afraid to be in equal partnerships with women.
- It’s about women not conspiring against men.
- It’s about a society not talking about all men as trash and all women as manipulative bit***s.
It’s about finding a workable, constructive way to be together in the world for the good of everyone, because both masculine and feminine energy are required to make the world really work.
