Stickbot introduces kids to the world of animation & cinematography

Create, animate and share. Children are no longer just passive observers watching a TV screen, they can now be actors in a digital world. Stickbot gives kids the opportunity to get behind the scenes and create as a movie director and scriptwriter would. They get to make their thinking visible using their phones as movie cameras. StikBots are posable jointed figurines that kids can use to create stop-motion videos, bringing them to life. This is how animation works: Using the Stikbot app for iOS or Android you take lots of still photographs in sequence with the figurines in slightly different poses Then you link them together creating a movie. Add music, sound effects, different backdrops and more. Then share on Instagram, Youtube or with the #Stikbot community.

The Stikbots are simple plastic jointed figures that have suction cups for hands and feet enabling you to keep them in a particular pose (these work best on a shiny surface). They come in a variety of colours and with different facial expressions, making them collectibles. They can be purchased in sets or individually to create a collection.

You can also use the app with other toys such as Lego figurines too.
